About the Houses
The Magnet Team house system is a fun way to build community and celebrate success for all grades. Each child becomes a part of something bigger than themselves: a team and family of students from every grade level, and a time-honored tradition practiced all over the world. Think of it like Harry Potter, but with a space theme!
• Mars: House of Courage (STEM)
• Neptune: House of Exploration (Art)
• Mercury: House of Knowledge (Science Lab)
• Venus: House of Creativity (Digital Media)
• Saturn: House of Perseverance (Music)
Students will represent their House and everyone who shares its colors. We want to make our Houses proud, and we can do so by doing what’s right. Throughout the year, students will be able to earn POINTS for his or her House. They can earn points for good behavior, working together, and other good things and at the end of the year one House will be crowned Champions!
Sorting Ceremony
We don’t choose our Houses, our Houses choose us. Destiny will determine which House your child belongs in, and each child will make their House bigger, better, stronger, smarter, and kinder by being a part of it. They will represent their House and everyone who shares its colors. New students will be put into one of five houses, August 28th, during Magnet classes.
Regardless of your House, we are ALL part of Sinclair Elementary. All Houses are needed to form Sinclair, and every student and adult supports EVERY House!
